'Strange' in the Bible
And astonishment seized all, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to-day.
And God spoke thus: His seed shall be a sojourner in a strange land, and they shall enslave them and evil entreat them four hundred years;
And he said to them, Ye know how it is unlawful for a Jew to be joined or come to one of a strange race, and to me God has shewn to call no man common or unclean.
For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears. We wish therefore to know what these things may mean.
It is written in the law, By people of other tongues, and by strange lips, will I speak to this people; and neither thus will they hear me, saith the Lord.
