'Stumble' in the Bible

Therefore, thus says the Lord,“Behold, I am laying stumbling blocks before this people.And they will stumble against them,Fathers and sons together;Neighbor and friend will perish.”

Give glory to the Lord your God,Before He brings darknessAnd before your feet stumbleOn the dusky mountains,And while you are hoping for lightHe makes it into deep darkness,And turns it into gloom.

But the Lord is with me like a dread champion;Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail.They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed,With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.

“With weeping they will come,And by supplication I will lead them;I will make them walk by streams of waters,On a straight path in which they will not stumble;For I am a father to Israel,And Ephraim is My firstborn.”

“The arrogant one will stumble and fallWith no one to raise him up;And I will set fire to his citiesAnd it will devour all his environs.”
