'Sufficient' in the Bible
Be not careful therefore for the morrow, for the morrow shall be careful about itself. Sufficient to the day is its own evil.
It is sufficient for the disciple that he should become as his teacher, and the bondman as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?
Philip answered him, Loaves for two hundred denarii are not sufficient for them, that each may have some little portion.
Sufficient to such a one is this rebuke which has been inflicted by the many;
to the one an odour from death unto death, but to the others an odour from life unto life; and who is sufficient for these things?
For the time past is sufficient for us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, lusts, wine-drinking, revels, drinkings, and unhallowed idolatries.
