'Sum' in the Bible

Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of the names, every male, by their polls;

Only the tribe of Levi thou shalt not number, neither shalt thou take the sum of them among the children of Israel;

Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers houses,

Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers houses, by their families;

Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers houses, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.

Take the sum of the people , from twenty years old and upward; as Jehovah commanded Moses and the children of Israel, that came forth out of the land of Egypt.

Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers houses of the congregation;

and they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war that are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
