'Terrify' in the Bible
I will come upon him while he is weary and exhausted and terrify him, so that all the people who are with him will flee. Then I will strike down the king alone,
They called this out with a loud voice in the language of Judah to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten and terrify them, so that they might take the city.
“Let darkness and black gloom claim it;Let a cloud settle on it;Let the blackness of the day terrify it.
Then You frighten me with dreamsAnd terrify me by visions;
“Let Him remove His rod from me,And let not dread of Him terrify me.
“Will not His majesty terrify you,And the dread of Him fall on you?
Remove Your hand from me,And let not the dread of You terrify me.
“Distress and anguish terrify him,They overpower him like a king ready for the attack,
“Behold, no fear of me should terrify you,Nor should my pressure weigh heavily on you.
Then He will speak to them in His angerAnd terrify them in His fury, saying,
So pursue them with Your tempestAnd terrify them with Your storm.
I said, “What are these coming to do?” And he said, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah so that no man lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to terrify them, to throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.”
