'Testimony' in the Bible

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

For He established a testimony in JacobAnd appointed a law in Israel,Which He commanded our fathersThat they should teach them to their children,

He established it for a testimony in JosephWhen he went throughout the land of Egypt.I heard a language that I did not know:

Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.

“If your sons will keep My covenantAnd My testimony which I will teach them,Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forever.”
