'Transgression' in the Bible
The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard; it sways like a hut; its transgression lies so heavy upon it, that it falls, never to rise again.
"I, I am the one who blots out your transgression for my own sake, and I'll remember your sins no more.
"From detention and judgment he was taken away and who can even think about his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living, he was stricken for the transgression of my people.
Whom are you mocking? And against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue? Are you not children of transgression, the offspring of lies,
"And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression," says the LORD.
