'Treasures' in the Bible
“Your wealth and your treasuresI will give for booty without cost,Even for all your sinsAnd within all your borders.
O mountain of Mine in the countryside,I will give over your wealth and all your treasures for booty,Your high places for sin throughout your borders.
I will also give over all the wealth of this city, all its produce and all its costly things; even all the treasures of the kings of Judah I will give over to the hand of their enemies, and they will plunder them, take them away and bring them to Babylon.
“For because of your trust in your own achievements and treasures,Even you yourself will be captured; And Chemosh will go off into exileTogether with his priests and his princes.
“How boastful you are about the valleys!Your valley is flowing away,O backsliding daughterWho trusts in her treasures, saying,‘Who will come against me?’
“A sword against their horses and against their chariotsAnd against all the foreigners who are in the midst of her,And they will become women!A sword against her treasures, and they will be plundered!
O you who dwell by many waters,Abundant in treasures,Your end has come,The measure of your end.
