'Walking' in the Bible
As He was walking along the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, who was called Peter, and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, since they were fishermen.
Don’t take a traveling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or a walking stick, for the worker is worthy of his food.
Around three in the morning, He came toward them walking on the sea.
When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and cried out in fear.
“Come!” He said.And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the deformed restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they gave glory to the God of Israel.
He instructed them to take nothing for the road except a walking stick: no bread, no traveling bag, no money in their belts.
He saw them being battered as they rowed, because the wind was against them. Around three in the morning He came toward them walking on the sea and wanted to pass by them.
When they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out;
He looked up and said, “I see people—they look to me like trees walking.”
They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them. They were astonished, but those who followed Him were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, He began to tell them the things that would happen to Him.
They came again to Jerusalem. As He was walking in the temple complex, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came
Then after this, He appeared in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country.
“Take nothing for the road,” He told them, “no walking stick, no traveling bag, no bread, no money; and don’t take an extra shirt.
Then He asked them, “What is this dispute that you’re having with each other as you are walking?” And they stopped walking and looked discouraged.
After they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near the boat, and they were afraid.
Jesus was walking in the temple complex in Solomon’s Colonnade.
So he jumped up, stood, and started to walk, and he entered the temple complex with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace, being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and it increased in numbers.
For if your brother is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy that one Christ died for by what you eat.
Instead, we have renounced shameful secret things, not walking in deceit or distorting God’s message, but commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in God’s sight by an open display of the truth.
I beg you that when I am present I will not need to be bold with the confidence by which I plan to challenge certain people who think we are behaving in an unspiritual way.
For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way,
I was very glad to find some of your children walking in the truth, in keeping with a command we have received from the Father.
For I was very glad when some brothers came and testified to your faithfulness to the truth—how you are walking in the truth.
I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
These people are discontented grumblers, walking according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.
they told you, “In the end time there will be scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.”
