'Wind' in the Bible
The wicked are not so,But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Upon the wicked He will rain snares;Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.
He rode upon a cherub and flew;And He sped upon the wings of the wind.
Then I beat them fine as the dust before the wind;I emptied them out as the mire of the streets.
Let them be like chaff before the wind,With the angel of the Lord driving them on.
“I would hasten to my place of refugeFrom the stormy wind and tempest.”
He caused the east wind to blow in the heavensAnd by His power He directed the south wind.
Thus He remembered that they were but flesh,A wind that passes and does not return.
O my God, make them like the whirling dust,Like chaff before the wind.
When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,And its place acknowledges it no longer.
He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;He makes the clouds His chariot;He walks upon the wings of the wind;
For He spoke and raised up a stormy wind,Which lifted up the waves of the sea.
He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;Who makes lightnings for the rain,Who brings forth the wind from His treasuries.
He sends forth His word and melts them;He causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.
Fire and hail, snow and clouds;Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
