'Wither' in the Bible

He will not escape from the darkness;flames will wither his shoots,and by the breath of God’s mouth, he will depart.

His roots below dry up,and his branches above wither away.

They are exalted for a moment, then they are gone;they are brought low and shrivel up like everything else.They wither like heads of grain.
