'Wounds' in the Bible
So King Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Arameans had inflicted on him at Ramah when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. Then Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel because he was sick.
but King Joram had returned to Jezreel to be healed of the wounds which the Arameans had inflicted on him when he fought with Hazael king of Aram. So Jehu said, “If this is your mind, then let no one escape or leave the city to go tell it in Jezreel.”
So he returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which they had inflicted on him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. And Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
“For He inflicts pain, and gives relief;He wounds, and His hands also heal.
“For He bruises me with a tempestAnd multiplies my wounds without cause.
My wounds grow foul and festerBecause of my folly.
He heals the brokenheartedAnd binds up their wounds.
Wounds and disgrace he will find,And his reproach will not be blotted out.
Who has woe? Who has sorrow?Who has contentions? Who has complaining?Who has wounds without cause?Who has redness of eyes?
Like an archer who wounds everyone,So is he who hires a fool or who hires those who pass by.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend,But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.
From the sole of the foot even to the headThere is nothing sound in it,Only bruises, welts and raw wounds,Not pressed out or bandaged,Nor softened with oil.
“As a well keeps its waters fresh,So she keeps fresh her wickedness.Violence and destruction are heard in her;Sickness and wounds are ever before Me.

and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.
And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
