'Written' in the Bible

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet:Look, I am sending My messenger ahead of You,who will prepare Your way.

He answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written:These people honor Me with their lips,but their heart is far from Me.

“Elijah does come first and restores everything,” He replied. “How then is it written about the Son of Man that He must suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

But I tell you that Elijah really has come, and they did whatever they pleased to him, just as it is written about him.”

Then He began to teach them: “Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves!”

For the Son of Man will go just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”

Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will run away, because it is written:I will strike the shepherd,and the sheep will be scattered.

The inscription of the charge written against Him was:THE KING OF THE JEWS.
