'Yourself' in the Bible
Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself.
However, if you have warned the righteous man that the righteous should not sin and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; and you have delivered yourself.”
The Spirit then entered me and made me stand on my feet, and He spoke with me and said to me, “Go, shut yourself up in your house.
“Now you son of man, get yourself a brick, place it before you and inscribe a city on it, Jerusalem.
Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city, and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.
“But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt, put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days.
Therefore, son of man, prepare for yourself baggage for exile and go into exile by day in their sight; even go into exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand though they are a rebellious house.
You took some of your clothes, made for yourself high places of various colors and played the harlot on them, which should never come about nor happen.
You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them.
that you built yourself a shrine and made yourself a high place in every square.
You built yourself a high place at the top of every street and made your beauty abominable, and you spread your legs to every passer-by to multiply your harlotry.
Show yourself sharp, go to the right; set yourself; go to the left, wherever your edge is appointed.
You will profane yourself in the sight of the nations, and you will know that I am the Lord.”’”
These things will be done to you because you have played the harlot with the nations, because you have defiled yourself with their idols.
“By your wisdom and understandingYou have acquired riches for yourselfAnd have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.
“Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him,‘You compared yourself to a young lion of the nations,Yet you are like the monster in the seas; And you burst forth in your riversAnd muddied the waters with your feetAnd fouled their rivers.’”
“And you, son of man, take for yourself one stick and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the sons of Israel, his companions’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.’
Then join them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
“Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.
