'Yourself' in the Bible

“Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven.”

Then the Lord said to me, “Take for yourself a large tablet and write on it in ordinary letters: Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.

‘What right do you have here,And whom do you have here,That you have hewn a tomb for yourself here,You who hew a tomb on the height,You who carve a resting place for yourself in the rock?

Get yourself up on a high mountain,O Zion, bearer of good news,Lift up your voice mightily,O Jerusalem, bearer of good news;Lift it up, do not fear.Say to the cities of Judah,“Here is your God!”

Rouse yourself! Rouse yourself! Arise, O Jerusalem,You who have drunk from the Lord’s hand the cup of His anger;The chalice of reeling you have drained to the dregs.

Awake, awake,Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion;Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments,O Jerusalem, the holy city;For the uncircumcised and the uncleanWill no longer come into you.

Shake yourself from the dust, rise up,O captive Jerusalem;Loose yourself from the chains around your neck,O captive daughter of Zion.

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread,And your wages for what does not satisfy?Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,And delight yourself in abundance.

“Behind the door and the doorpostYou have set up your sign;Indeed, far removed from Me, you have uncovered yourself,And have gone up and made your bed wide.And you have made an agreement for yourself with them,You have loved their bed,You have looked on their manhood.

“Is it not to divide your bread with the hungryAnd bring the homeless poor into the house;When you see the naked, to cover him;And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?

And if you give yourself to the hungryAnd satisfy the desire of the afflicted,Then your light will rise in darknessAnd your gloom will become like midday.

“Who say, ‘Keep to yourself, do not come near me,For I am holier than you!’These are smoke in My nostrils,A fire that burns all the day.
