Hezekiah Celebrates Passover

²⁰ So the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people. ²¹ The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem observed the Festival of Unleavened Bread seven days with great joy, and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day after day with loud instruments. ²² Then Hezekiah encouraged all the Levites who performed skillfully before the Lord. They ate at the appointed festival for seven days, sacrificing fellowship offerings and giving thanks to Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.

Exodus 12:15

You must eat unleavened bread for seven days. On the first day you must remove yeast from your houses. Whoever eats what is leavened from the first day through the seventh day must be cut off from Israel.

Exodus 13:6

For seven days you must eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there is to be a festival to the Lord.

Leviticus 23:6

The Festival of Unleavened Bread to the Lord is on the fifteenth day of the same month. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

2 Chronicles 20:21

Then he consulted with the people and appointed some to sing for the Lord and some to praise the splendor of His holiness. When they went out in front of the armed forces, they kept singing:

for His faithful love endures forever.

2 Chronicles 29:25-27

Hezekiah stationed the Levites in the Lord’s temple with cymbals, harps, and lyres according to the command of David, Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet. For the command was from the Lord through His prophets.

2 Chronicles 30:26

There was great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for nothing like this was known since the days of Solomon son of David, the king of Israel.
