Judgment For The Profanation Of The Temple And Sanctuary

¹⁹ They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an impurity: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their belly; for it hath been the stumbling-block of their iniquity. ²⁰ And he set in majesty his beautiful ornament; but they made therein the images of their abominations and of their detestable things: therefore have I made it an impurity unto them. ²¹ And I will give it into the hands of strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.

Ezekiel 24:21

Say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and your soul's longing; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.

Jeremiah 7:30

For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith Jehovah; they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

Isaiah 64:11

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burnt up with fire, and all our precious things are laid waste.
