¹⁸ For I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of the Messiah. ¹⁹ Their destiny is destruction, their god is their belly, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on worldly things. ²⁰ Our citizenship, however, is in heaven, and it is from there that we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.

Romans 16:18

because such people are not serving the Messiah our Lord, but their own desires. By their smooth talk and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

These people are complainers and faultfinders, following their own desires. They say arrogant things and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.

Revelation 18:7

Just as she glorified herself and lived in luxury, inflict on her just as much torture and misery. In her heart she says, "I am a queen on a throne, not a widow. I will never see misery.'

Revelation 19:20

The beast was captured, along with the false prophet who had performed signs on its behalf. By these signs the false prophet had deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and worshipped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
