Proverbs Of Solomon

²⁶ {All day} he craves a craving, but the righteous will give and not hold back. ²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination; how much more when he brings it in divisiveness! ²⁸ A false witness will perish, but a man who listens will testify with success.

Proverbs 15:8

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination of Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright [is] his delight.

Isaiah 66:3

The one who slaughters bull strikes a man; the one who slaughters lamb for sacrifice breaks the neck [of] a dog. The one who offers an offering, [the] blood of swine; the one who offers frankincense blesses an idol. Indeed, they themselves have chosen their ways, and their soul delights in their abhorrence.

Jeremiah 6:20

What [is] this to me? Frankincense comes from Sheba, and the precious spice reed from a distant land. Your burnt offerings [are] not {acceptable}, your sacrifices are not pleasing to me."
