Psalm 129:2

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

But the Lord

delivers him out of them all.

You pushed me violently so that I was falling,
But the Lord

helped me.

A Song of Ascents.
Those who trust in the Lord
Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.

“From six troubles He will deliver you,
Even in seven evil will not touch you.

I also say to you that you are

Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.

It was he who took shrewd advantage of our race and mistreated our fathers so that they would

expose their infants and they would not survive.
