For you are bringing some astonishing things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what {these things mean}."

But if these are questions about words, names, and your own law, see to it yourselves. I don’t want to be a judge of such things.”

After these things happened Paul decided to travel through Macedonia and Achaia on his way to Jerusalem. He said, "Then, after I have been there I want to visit Rome also."

But if you want something else, it must be decided in a legal assembly.

Yourselves know that these hands have ministered to my wants, and to those who were with me.

"Brothers and fathers, listen to the defense I want to make to you."

Now then, you and the Council must notify the tribune to bring him down to you on the pretext that you want to look into his case more carefully, but before he arrives we'll be ready to kill him."

The commanding officer took him by the hand, withdrew privately, and asked, "What is it that you want to report to me?"

So he gave orders to the Captain in charge of Paul to keep him in custody, but to relax the regulations, and not to prevent any of his personal friends from attending to his wants.

And I, being uncertain of the controversy about this man, asked whether he wants to go to Jerusalem and be judged there about these things.

So Agrippa [said] to Festus, "I want to hear the man myself also." "Tomorrow," he said, "you will hear him."

who also honoured us with many honours, and on our leaving they made presents to us of what should minister to our wants.

But we want to hear you state your views, for as far as this sect is concerned, we understand that everywhere it is denounced."
