How is the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness used to lodge in it, but now murderers.

Thy silver is become dross, thy wine is mixed with water:

In mine ears Jehovah of hosts hath said, Many houses shall assuredly become a desolation, great and excellent ones, without inhabitant.

Therefore is the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he hath stretched out his hand against them and hath smitten them; and the mountains trembled, and their carcases are become as dung in the midst of the streets. Thy holy cities are become a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
