For the creation was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope, Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the descendant should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.

Sin » What is sin
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows. And he that doubts is condemned if he eats, because he eats not of faith: for whatever is not of faith is sin.
Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.
The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scoffer is an abomination to men.
A haughty look, a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
When you shall vow a vow unto the LORD your God, you shall not delay to pay it: for the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin to you.
