And he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness; and knoweth not whither he goeth, for darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night he stumbleth, because there is no light in him."

Then Jesus said unto them, "Yet a little while is the light with you: walk while ye have light, lest the darkness come on you. He that walketh in the dark, knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe on the light that ye may be the children of light." These things spake Jesus, and departed, and hid himself from them.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other gentiles walk; in vanity of their mind, blinded in their understanding, being strangers from the life which is in God, through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their hearts.

And this is the tidings which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and yet walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and yet walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but and if we walk in light even as he is in light, then have we fellowship together, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin.

Hereby shall ye know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God. And the same is that spirit of antichrist, of whom ye have heard, how that he should come: and even now already is he in the world.

Nevertheless, among the chief rulers many believed on him: but because of the Pharisees they would not be a known of it, lest they should be excommunicated. For they loved the praise that is given of men, more than the praise that cometh of God.

"Not all they that say unto me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter in to the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth my father's will which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name have done many miracles?' And then will I knowledge unto them, that I never knew them: 'Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity.'

Whosoever therefore shall knowledge me before men, him will I knowledge also before my father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven.

John bare witness of him and cried, saying, "This was he of whom I spake, which though he came after me, went before me: for he was before me." And of his fullness have all we received, even grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. read more.
No man hath seen God at any time. The only begotten son, which is in the father's bosom, hath declared him.

Such words spake his father, and mother, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had conspired already that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be excommunicated out of the Synagogue. Therefore said his father and mother, "He is old enough, ask him." Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, "Give God the praise; we know that this man is a sinner." read more.
He answered and said, "Whether he be a sinner or no, I cannot tell. One thing I am sure of: that I was blind, and now I see." Then said they to him again, "What did he to thee? How opened he thine eyes?" He answered them, "I told you right now! A And ye did not hear. Wherefore would ye hear it again? Will ye also be his disciples?" Then rated they him, and said, "Thou art his disciple. We be Moses' disciples. We are sure that God spake with Moses. This fellow we know not from whence he is." The man answered, and said unto them, "This is a marvelous thing that ye know not whence he is, seeing he opened mine eyes. For we be sure that God heareth not sinners: But if any man be a worshipper of God, and do what his will is, him heareth he. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could have done nothing." They answered, and said unto him, "Thou art altogether born in sin: and dost thou teach us?" And they cast him out. Jesus heard that they had excommunicated him: and as soon as he had found him he said unto him, "Dost thou believe on the son of God?" He answered, and said, "And who is it, Lord, that I might believe on him?" And Jesus said unto him, "Thou hast seen him, and he it is that talketh with thee." And he said, "Lord, I believe," and worshipped him.

And Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water, and the chamberlain said, "See: here is water, what shall let me to be baptised?" Philip said unto him, "If thou believe with all thine heart, thou mayest." He answered, and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God."

When Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was constrained by the spirit, to testify to the Jews that Jesus was very Christ.

Then said Paul, "John verily baptised with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him, which should come after him. That is on Christ Jesus." When they heard that, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.

For if thou shalt knowledge with thy mouth that Jesus is the Lord, and shalt believe with thine heart that God raised him up from death, thou shalt be safe. For the belief of the heart justifieth: and to knowledge with the mouth maketh a man safe. For the scripture saith, "Whosoever believeth on him, shall not be ashamed."

And they shall confess their misdeeds and the misdeeds of their fathers; in their trespasses which they have trespassed against me, and for that also that they have walked contrary unto me. Therefore I also will walk contrary unto them, and will bring them into the land of their enemies. And then at the least way their uncircumcised hearts shall be tamed, and then they shall make an atonement for their misdeeds. "'And I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac, and my covenant with Abraham, and will think on the land. read more.
For the land shall be left of them and shall have pleasure in her Sabbaths, while she lieth waste without them, and they shall make an atonement for their misdeeds, because they despised my laws and their souls refused mine ordinances. And yet, for all that; when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not so cast them away nor my soul shall not so abhor them, that I will utterly destroy them and break mine covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. I will therefore remember unto them the first covenant made when I brought them out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen to be their God: for I am the LORD.'"

And moreover, I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.

And he said, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." And he said, "If thy presence go not with me, carry us not hence, for how shall it be known now that both I and thy people have found favour in thy sight, but in that thou goest with us: that both I and thy people have a preeminence before all the people that are upon the face of the earth." read more.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the old things are gone.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye should sin not: if, though, any man sin, yet we have an Advocate with the father, even Jesus Christ, which is righteous. And he it is that obtaineth grace for our sins; and not for our sins only, but also for the sins of all the world. And hereby we are sure that we know him: if we keep his commandments. read more.

All the words of God are pure and clean, for he is a shield unto all them that put their trust in him. Put thou nothing therefore unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found as a liar.

Jesus said unto them, "If God were your father, then would ye have loved me. For I proceeded forth and come from God. Neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not know my speech? Even because ye cannot abide the hearing of my words. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father, ye will do. Behold, the LORD's hand is not so shortened that it cannot help, neither is his ear so stopped that it may not hear. No man regardeth righteousness, and no man judgeth truly. Every man hopeth in vain things, and imagineth deceit; conceiveth weariness, and bringeth forth evil.

Should I not be displeased, for the unrighteous good in the houses of the wicked and because the measure is diminished? Or should I justify the false balances and the bag of deceitful weights, among those that be full of riches unrighteously gotten: where the citizens deal with falsity, speak lies, and have deceitful tongues in their mouths?
