What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! Certainly, I would not have known sin except through the law. Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the descendant to whom the promise had been made. It was administered through angels by an intermediary. The one who conceals hatred utters lies, and the one who spreads slander is certainly a fool.
