The faithful witness tells what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.

The Israelites hate anyone who arbitrates at the city gate; they despise anyone who speaks honestly.

But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe me. Who among you can prove me guilty of any sin? If I am telling you the truth, why don't you believe me?

Jesus replied, "If I have said something wrong, confirm what is wrong. But if I spoke correctly, why strike me?"

So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?
