Afflictions » Moments of Discouragement » Deliverance from, promised to believers
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us:
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoary hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shades of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou wilt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
