Sir, what can we say? Judah replied. How can we prove we are innocent? God has shown that we are guilty. And now all of us are your slaves, especially the one who had the cup.

They said to one another: Truly we are guilty concerning our brother, because we saw his distress when he pleaded with us, yet we would not listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us. Reuben said: Did I not tell you? Did I say, 'Do not sin against the boy'? You would not listen! Now comes the reckoning for his blood.

Joseph said to his brothers: I am Joseph! Is my father still alive? His brothers could not answer him because they were afraid of him.

After Jacob died, Joseph's brothers said to each other: What if Joseph still hates us and wants to get even with us for all the cruel things we did to him? Thus they sent word to Joseph, saying: Your father gave us orders before his death. He said, You are to say to Joseph: Let the wrongdoing of your brothers be overlooked, and the evil they did to you. I will take care of you and your children. So he reassured them with kind words that touched their hearts.

Joseph threw himself on his father. He cried over him, and kissed him.

Right away he rushed off to his room and cried because of his love for Benjamin.

Joseph got in his chariot and went to Goshen to meet his father. When they met, Joseph threw his arms around his father's neck and cried for a long time.

Then he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck (huged his brother) and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck. (Acts 20:37)

He turned away from them and wept. When he returned to them and spoke to them, he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes.
