If a bird's nest happens to be before you in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they are young ones, or eggs, and the mother sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young:

Shall I count those pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labor to feed the fire, and the people shall weary themselves in vain? For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
