A FALSE balance is an abomination to LORD, but a just weight is his delight.
[He is] a Canaanite. The balances of deceit are in his hand. He loves to oppress.
Shall I be pure with wicked balances, and with a bag of deceitful weights?
As the partridge that sits on [eggs] which she has not laid, so is he who gets riches, and not by right. In the midst of his days they shall leave him, and at his end he shall be a fool.
It is bad, it is bad, says the buyer, but when he is gone his way, then he boasts.
Thou shall not have in thy bag diverse weights, a great and a small.
Diverse weights, and diverse measures, both of them alike are an abomination to LORD.
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vapor driven to and fro by those who seek death.
