With this, the reins of my back were full of pain: Pangs came upon me, as upon a woman in her travail. It made me stoop when I heard it, and it vexed me when I saw it.

O what great troubles and adversities hast thou showed me! And yet didst thou turn and refresh me; yea, and broughtest me from the deep of the earth again.
Man that is born of a woman hath but a short time to live, and is full of divers miseries.
but heaviness, sorrow and disquietness all the days of his life? Insomuch that his heart cannot rest in the night. Is not this also a vain thing?

but it is man, that is born unto misery, like as the sparks fly up out of the hot coals.
The snares of death compassed me round about, the pains of hell got hold upon me.
We looked for peace, and we fair not the better; we waited for the time of health, and lo, here is nothing but trouble.
