When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew privately to a town called Bethsaida.
And after he sent the crowds away, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.
When he left there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up a mountain, where he sat down.
Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John the brother of James, and led them privately up a high mountain.
As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve aside privately and said to them on the way,
He said to them, "Come with me privately to an isolated place and rest a while" (for many were coming and going, and there was no time to eat).
After Jesus left there, he went to the region of Tyre. When he went into a house, he did not want anyone to know, but he was not able to escape notice.
He went away from them about a stone's throw, knelt down, and prayed,

With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and elders of the people. (Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him!") Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi," and kissed him. Jesus said to him, "Friend, do what you are here to do." Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. He said to Peter, "So, couldn't you stay awake with me for one hour? Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation. When he had said these things, Jesus went out with his disciples across the Kidron Valley. There was an orchard there, and he and his disciples went into it. (Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, knew the place too, because Jesus had met there many times with his disciples.)
