then shall they deliver you up to torments, and to death: and ye shall be hated by all nations upon my account.
but all these things will they do unto you, out of hatred to my name, because they know not him that sent me.
my persecutions, and the sufferings that befel me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions did I endure? but the Lord deliver'd me out of them all: yes, and those who will live like Christians, shall generally suffer persecution.
