He burned sweet incense on it, following Jehovah's instructions.
Put the gold altar for burning incense in front of the Covenant Box and hang the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
I am building a Temple to honor Jehovah my God. It will be a holy place where my people and I will worship him by burning incense of fragrant spices. We will present offerings of sacred bread to him continuously, and we will offer burnt offerings every morning and evening, as well as on Sabbaths, New Moon Festivals, and other holy days honoring Jehovah our God. He has commanded Israel to do this from generation to generation.
Build an altar out of acacia wood for burning incense. Make it eighteen inches square and thirty-six inches high. Make two gold rings. Place them below the molding on opposite sides to hold the poles for carrying it. Make the poles out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold. Place the altar in front of the canopy that hangs over the ark containing the words of my covenant I will meet with you there in front of the throne of mercy that is on the ark. Did Hezekiah not tear down all except one of Jehovah's altars and places of worship? And did he not tell you people of Jerusalem and Judah to worship at that one place?
