He was faithful to Him who appointed him, just as Moses was in His entire house.

Jehovah your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites. Listen to him!

But this is not the way I treat my servant Moses. He is the most faithful person in my household.

He will send Jesus Christ, who preached to you. whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things. God spoke about this through all his holy prophets since the world began. Moses said to the fathers, 'Jehovah will raise up for your brothers a prophet like me. You must listen to all the things he speaks to you.' (Deuteronomy 18:18)

A fountain for sin and for uncleanness will be opened for the house of David.

This is so he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. So he will be able to present the congregation to himself as a glorious congregation, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. It should be holy and without blemish.

Make a copper basin with a bronze stand for washing. Put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and fill it with water. Aaron and his sons will use it for washing their hands and feet. Before they go into the tent of meeting, they must wash so that they will not die. Before they come near the altar to serve as priests and burn an offering by fire to Jehovah.

Then he brought the ark into the tent and hung the canopy over it to mark off where the ark was. Moses followed Jehovah's instructions.

Solomon made the canopy of violet, purple, and dark red cloth and of linen and decorated it with cherubim.

If your sacrifice is a fellowship offering of cattle in Jehovah's presence, it must be a male or female animal that has no defects.

Therefore I will give him a portion among the great. He will divide the spoils with the strong. This is because he poured out his life unto death. He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

We are all like sheep. We have gone astray! Each of us has turned to his own way. Jehovah has caused the iniquity (sin) of all of us to be laid on him.

When he finishes making peace with Jehovah at the holy place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he will bring the living goat forward. Aaron will place both hands on its head. He will confess over it all the sins, all the rebellious acts, and all the things the Israelites did wrong. He will transfer them to the goat's head. A man will be appointed to release the goat in the desert. The goat will take all their sins away to a deserted place. The man must release the goat in the desert.

My servant David will be their king. All of them will have one shepherd. They will live by my rules, and they will obey my laws.

So David ruled all Israel. He did what was fair and right for all his people.

Once you spoke in vision to your godly ones. You said: I have given help to one who is mighty. I have exalted one chosen from the people. I have found David my servant. I anointed him with my holy oil.

Let us approach the throne of grace (loving-kindness) with confidence, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for help in time of need.

God displayed Christ publicly as propitiation (atonement) by his blood through faith. It demonstrated his righteousness. It was through the forbearance of God that he passed by the sins that had taken place before.

Cover the lid of the chest (mercy seat) with pure gold. Hammer out two winged cherubs of pure gold and fasten them to the lid at the ends of the chest. Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim of one piece with the chest at its two ends. read more.
The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the chest with their wings and facing one another. The faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the chest. After you put into the ark the words of my covenant that I will give you, place the throne of mercy on top. I will be above the throne of mercy between the angels whenever I meet with you. I will give you all my commandments for the Israelites.

He is able to save completely those who approach God through him, because he is always alive to intercede for them.

Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two one year old lambs each day, continuously. Offer one lamb in the morning and offer the other lamb at twilight. You will offer the other lamb at twilight. Offer it with the same grain offering and the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to Jehovah.

Make four gold rings for it. Fasten them to the four corners where the four legs are. The rings are to be close to the rim. They are to hold the poles for carrying the table. Make the poles out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold and use them to carry the table. The plates and dishes for the table should be out of pure gold. Also make pitchers and bowls to be used for pouring wine offerings. The table should be placed in front of the Covenant Box. There is always to be the sacred bread offered to me for the table.

I will give you the Ten Commandments written on two flat tablets. Put them inside the chest.

I am pleased to do your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.

I, Jehovah, have called you and have given you power to see that justice is done on earth. I will make a covenant with all peoples and bring light (truth) (light of instruction) (Psalm 27:1) to the nations through you.

Do not delay the offering from your harvest and your vintage. Give the firstborn of your sons to me.

King Melchizedek of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High. He blessed him and said: Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth. Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand! Abram gave him one tenth of everything.

Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him. Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything to him. He was first of all, by translation of his name, King of Righteousness, and then he was also ruler of Salem, which means, King of Peace. He was without father or mother or genealogy, and neither had beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, he continues as a priest forever. read more.
See how great he was! Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils. The descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the Law to take tithes from the people. This is from their brothers, for these are descended from Abraham. But this man does not have their genealogy. He received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. It is beyond dispute that the superior blesses the inferior. In this instance mortal men receive tithes, in the other by the one of whom it is testified that he lives. One might even say that Levi, the priest who takes the tenth from the people, gave his tenth through Abraham. He was still in the loins of his ancestor (not yet born) when Melchizedek met him. If perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood, for under it the people received the Law, what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, instead of one named after the order of Aaron? The priesthood was changed, and therefore it is necessary to also change the Law. The one about whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. It is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. This is clear if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, He would become such, not on the basis of a law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life. For it is announced: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Thus it is written: The first man Adam was made a living being. The last Adam became a life giving spirit!

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even for those who had not sinned after the likeness of Adam's transgression. Adam is in some ways like Christ who came later.

Samson shouted: Let me die with the Philistines! He pushed with all his might, and the building fell down on the five kings and everyone else. Samson killed more people at his death than he had killed during his life.

to tell the people of Israel: If a person sins unintentionally and does not keep Jehovah's commandments he would have to observe the following rules: If it is the High Priest who sins and brings guilt on the people, he should present a young bull without any defects and sacrifice it to Jehovah for his sin.

Look to (consider without distractions) Jesus, the Leader (Predecessor) and Finisher (Perfecter) of our faith. He despised the shame. He endured the stake for the joy that was set before him. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such contrary talk by sinners against him. You should not get tired and give up in your mind (heart).

Who are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. He will bring the head stone with shouts of blessing.' Then the entire cow, the skin, meat, blood, and excrement, will be burned while he watches. The priest will take some cedar wood, a hyssop sprig, and some red yarn and throw them onto the burning cow.

It was Jehovah's will to allow him to be crushed. Even though Jehovah makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of Jehovah will prosper in his hand.

Jehovah gave the following regulations to Moses: If any of you sin against Jehovah by failing to do your duty, if you lie to your neighbor about something you were supposed to take care of or if you lie about something stolen or seized from your neighbor, you are sinning and will be guilty. you have sinned and are guilty. Return what you stole or seized, what you were supposed to take care of, the lost item you found, or whatever it was that you swore falsely about. Pay it back in full plus one-fifth more. Give it back to its owner on the day you bring your guilt offering. Then bring your guilt offering to Jehovah. Bring a ram that has no defects or its value in money. Bring it to the priest. The priest will pay compensation for your wrong and make peace with Jehovah. Then you will be forgiven for whatever you did that made you guilty.

the priest will order that two ritually clean birds be brought, along with a piece of cedar wood, a red cord, and a sprig of hyssop. The priest will order that one of the birds be killed over a clay bowl containing fresh spring water. He will take the other bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the red cord, and the hyssop, in the blood of the bird that was killed. read more.

Jehovah said to Moses: I have heard my people complain. I said to them: 'Each evening you will have meat and each morning they will have more than enough bread.' After the dew had gone, the desert was covered with thin flakes that looked like frost. When the children of Israel saw, they said to one another: What is this? For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them: This is the bread Jehovah has given you to eat.

They were disobedient while the ark was being built. Yet God waited patiently in the days of Noah. But few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water. This was a symbol pointing to baptism, which now saves you. It is not the washing off of bodily dirt, but the promise made to God for a good conscience. It saves you through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, just as God had commanded Noah. Then Jehovah shut him in.

Put the gold altar for burning incense in front of the Covenant Box and hang the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle.

Moses put the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the canopy. He burned sweet incense on it, following Jehovah's instructions.

He should lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering. It may then be accepted for him to make atonement with Jehovah on his behalf.

Tell the Israelites: 'When you bring an offering to Jehovah, bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock.

You will no longer be called Abram (Exalted Father). Your name will be Abraham (means Father of Many). I have made you a father of many nations.

Every family in heaven and on earth obtains its name from him.

The meal must be eaten inside one house. Never take any of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones.

Tell the whole community of Israel: 'On the tenth day of this month each man must take a sheep for his family, one animal per household. A household may be too small to eat a whole animal. That household and the one next-door can share one animal. Choose your animal based on the number of people and what each person can eat. Your animal must be a one-year-old male that has no defects. You may choose a lamb or a young goat. read more.
Take care of it until the fourteenth day of this month. Then at dusk, all the assembled people from the community of Israel must slaughter their animals.

Six of the cities you give the Levites will be cities of refuge. You must allow murderers to escape to these cities. In addition, you must also give the Levites forty-two other cities.

God did this to offer encouragement so we may rely on the hope offered to us. We have taken refuge in that hope and it is impossible for God to lie. These two things can never be changed.

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must also be lifted up. Everyone who has an active faith in him may have everlasting life.

Moses made a copper snake and put it on a pole. People looked at the copper snake after they were bitten and lived.

Jehovah continued: Bring your brother Aaron and his sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar to you from all the Israelites. They will serve me as priests.

No one takes this honor upon himself. He is called by God, even as Aaron was. Also Christ did not glorify himself to be made a high priest. It was God who said to him: You are my Son; I today have become your father.

In the eighth month, the month of Bul, in the eleventh year of Solomon's reign, the Temple was completely finished exactly as it had been planned. It took Solomon seven years to build it.

Solomon began work on the Temple. It was four hundred and eighty years after the people of Israel left Egypt, during the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the second month, the month of Ziv.

While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Jehovah said: What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood (life) cries out to me from the ground.

Set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting on the first day of the first month of the year.

The column of smoke then covered the tent of meeting. The glory of Jehovah filled the tent.

However, Jehovah prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so the Son of man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth [the grave].

Jesus continued: You will see the heavens opened and you will see the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway set up on the earth with its top reaching up to heaven. He saw the angels of God going up and coming down on it.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world. He that follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

Make lamp stand of pure gold. Make its base and its shaft of hammered gold. Its decorative flowers, including buds and petals, are to form one piece with it.

Aaron will slaughter the goat for the people's offering for sin. He will take the blood inside, go up to the canopy, and sprinkle it on the throne of mercy and in front of it, as he did with the bull's blood. He will pay compensation for the wrongdoing and make peace with Jehovah for all the sins the Israelites committed against the holy place. These sins happened because the Israelites were unclean and because they committed rebellious acts. He will do the same for the Tent of Meeting that is among an unclean people.

I will choose one of your sons to be king when you reach the end of your life and are buried in the tomb of your ancestors. I will make him a strong ruler. I will allow no one to take his long lasting kingdom away from him. He will be the one to build a temple for me.

Joseph replied to them: Do not be afraid! I cannot take God's place. Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it. This was to keep many people alive, as he is doing now.

God tested Abraham. He said to him: Abraham! Abraham replied: Here I am. Take your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah. Offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.

Build the altar with acacia wood. It should be seven and one half feet square and four and one half feet tall. Place a horn at each of its four corners. The four horns and the altar must be made out of one piece of wood covered with copper.

No man will be able to resist you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous for you will help this people inherit the land. This is the land I swore to give to their fathers.
