They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

It is nothing, it is nothing, says the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasts.

Whosoever boasts about himself of a gift not given is like clouds and wind without rain.



But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.



Come now, you that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas you know not what shall be tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live, and do this, or that. read more.
