Whoever loves wisdom rejoices his father; but a companion of harlots wastes wealth.
A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice; and he who fathers a wise child shall have joy from him.
My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, so that I may answer him who shames me.
And bring the fattened calf here and kill it. And let us eat and be merry, for this my son was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.
