The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to depart from evil is understanding!
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God! They acted corruptly; they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.
I will hear what God Jehovah will speak; for He will speak peace to His people, and to His saints; but let them not turn again to folly.
The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all practicing them have good understanding; His praise stands forever.
Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets; she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying, How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? He who trusts in his own heart is a fool; but whoever walks wisely, he shall be delivered.
