And give to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people, to discern between good and bad. For who is able to judge this, Your great people?
The wise in heart will receive commandments; but a babbling fool shall fall.
behold, I have done according to your words. Lo, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart, so that there was none like you before you, and after you none shall arise like you.
And God gave Solomon exceeding great wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the seashore.
He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and been blessed;
Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise in heart.
Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, but among fools it is made known.
My son, if your heart is wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.

For the profit from it is better than the gain from silver, and its produce more than fine gold;

How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver!
Wealth » What is better than monetary riches
Better is a little with righteousness than great gain without right.
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches; and loving favor rather than silver or gold.
A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah than great treasure and tumult with it.
A little to the righteous is better than the riches of many wicked.
Better is the poor who walks in his uprightness than he who is perverse in his ways, though he is rich.
The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether, more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
TETH: You have dealt well with Your servant, O Jehovah, according to Your Word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge; for I have believed Your Commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I have kept Your Word. read more.

Their heart is without feeling, like fat; but I delight in Your Law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, so that I might learn Your Precepts. The Law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth. before He had made the earth, or the fields or the highest part of the dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle upon the face of the deep; when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep; when He gave to the sea its limit that the waters should not pass His command; when He appointed the foundations of the earth; even I was a workman at His side; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him; rejoicing in the world, His earth; and my delight was with the sons of men.
