The LORD's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.
The LORD's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?
Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The seed of evildoers will not be named forever.
Yet he also is wise, and will bring disaster, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity.

So I saw the wicked buried. Indeed they came also from holy place. They went and were praised in the city where they did this. This also is vanity.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of a tyrant be delivered? But thus says the LORD, "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.

Thus says the Lord GOD, "Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing. Israel, your prophets have been like foxes in the waste places. They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, "The LORD says"; but the LORD has not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed. "Haven't you seen a false vision, and haven't you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, "The LORD says"; but I have not spoken? Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, says the Lord GOD.
They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say, "The LORD says"; but the LORD has not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed. "Haven't you seen a false vision, and haven't you spoken a lying divination, in that you say, "The LORD says"; but I have not spoken?
