I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt. Do not have any other god. Do not make your own carved idols or statues that represent any creature in the sky, on the earth, or in the water. read more.
Do not worship them or serve them. I, Jehovah your God, am a God demanding exclusive devotion. (I do not tolerate rivals.) I will not share your affection with any other god. I punish children for their parents' sins to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.

I am Jehovah your God. I brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Do not have any other god but me. Do not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above, or on the earth below, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: read more.
Do not bow down to them. Do not serve them! For I Jehovah your God am a totally demanding zealous God. I require exclusive devotion and punish the fathers and children who hate me to the third and fourth generation.

The Lord appointed seventy disciples and sent them in groups of two into every city and place where he was about to go. He said to them: The harvest indeed is great but the laborers are few. Pray that the Master (Controller) (Lord) of the harvest will send laborers into his harvest. Go your way for I send you as lambs in the midst of wolves. read more.
Carry no purse, no wallet, and no shoes; and greet no man on the way. When you enter a house say; may this house have peace. If a son of peace lives there, your peace shall rest upon him. If not, it shall return to you again. Remain in that house eating and drinking what they give you. The laborer is worthy of his hire. Do not stay in different houses. When they receive you in their city eat what ever they set before you. Heal the sick that are there and say to them, the kingdom of God is near you. If they do not receive you in their city go into their streets and, Shake off the dust that clings to your feet, from that city, so they may know that the kingdom of God came near. I tell you, it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. Woe to you Chorazin! Woe to you Bethsaida! If the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you. Will you Capernaum be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to the grave. He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.

Keep in mind that Jehovah your God is the only true God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commandments. He destroys everyone who hates him. He never takes long to pay back anyone who hates him.

Jehovah will bring his people justice. He will have compassion on his servants. He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain. He will say: 'Where are their gods, the rock in which they sought refuge? Who ate the fat of their sacrifices? Who drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you. Let them be your hiding place! read more.
See now that I, even I, am he. There is no god besides me! It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heals. There is no one who can deliver from my hand. Indeed, I lift up my hand to heaven, and say: As I live forever, I sharpen my flashing sword, and my hand takes hold on justice! I will render vengeance on my adversaries. I will repay those who hate me.

Certainly God does not reject a blameless man or strengthen the hands of evildoers. He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. Your enemies will be clothed in shame. The tents of the wicked will be no more.

Indeed, the king trusts Jehovah, and through the mercy of the Most High, he will not be moved. Your hand (spirit and power) will discover all your enemies. Your powerful hand will find all who hate you. When you appear, you will make them burn like a blazing furnace. Jehovah will swallow them up in his anger. Fire will devour them. read more.
You will destroy their children from the earth and their offspring from among the sons of man. Even though they scheme and devise evil against you, they will not succeed. They turn their backs and flee because you aim your bow at their faces.

O God, do not keep silent. Do not keep silent and do not be still, O God. For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads. They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones. read more.
They say: Come and let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more. For they have come to an agreement united in thought. They form an alliance against you. The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites; Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot. Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon Who perished at Endor and became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna. For they said: Let us take possession Of God's pasturelands. My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind. Like the fire that consumes the forest, the flame that sets the mountains on fire, pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm. Fill their faces with confusion that they may seek your name, Jehovah. Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish,

I am the true vine, and my Father is the cultivator. He takes away the branches in me that do not bear fruit. He cleans every branch that bears fruit. That way it may bear more fruit. You are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. read more.
Remain with me, and I with you. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself. It must remain on the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain with me. I am the vine and you are the branches. He that remains with me, and I with him, the same bears much fruit. You can do nothing apart from me. If a man does not remain with me, he is removed as a branch, and withers. They gather them and throw them into the fire where they are burned (destroyed) (consumed). If you remain with me, and my words remain with you, ask whatever you will, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified when you bear much fruit. You will be my disciples. I love you just as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. If you obey my commandments you will remain in my love. I have obeyed my Father's commandments and remain in his love. I spoke these things in order that my joy may continue with you and your joy may be made full. This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. No man has greater love then this that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do the things that I command you. I no longer call you servants for the servant does not know what the lord does. I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you. You did not choose me. I chose you and appointed you. You should go and bear fruit and your fruit should remain. Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, that you may love one another. If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. I chose you out of the world. The world hates you because you are not of the world. Remember the word I said to you. A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they obeyed my word, they will obey yours also. They will do all these things to you for my name's sake. It is because they do not know the one that sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin. Now they have no excuse for their sin! He who hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would have no sin. They have seen and hated both my Father and me. This took place that the word written in the Law may be fulfilled: They hated me without a cause.

Jehovah of Hosts proclaims: The day is coming when all arrogant and evil people will burn like stubble. On that day they will burn up and there will be nothing left of them, either root or bough.

How often are they like straw before the wind, and like chaff that the storm carries away?

You will go up in flames like straw and hay! You have rejected the law of the holy God Jehovah the All-Powerful Holy One of Israel. Now your roots will rot, and your blossoms will turn to dust.

Like the noise of chariots they leap on the tops of the mountains. It is like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble. They are a strong people set in battle array.

Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow.

Entangled like thorns and drunken from drink, they are consumed like dry stubble.

Surely they are like stubble. The fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Here are no coals to warm anyone and no fire to sit by.

No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

In the greatness of your excellence you overthrow those who rose up against you. You sent your wrath and consumed them like stubble.

My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.

I will scatter you like straw that is blown away by a desert wind.

My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.

My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.
