For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,
but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.

We don't belong to the night, nor to darkness, so then let's not sleep, as the rest do, but let's watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

The beginning of strife is like breaching a dam, therefore stop contention before quarreling breaks out.
It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; but every fool will be quarreling.
Don't be hasty in bringing charges to court. What will you do in the end when your neighbor shames you? Debate your case with your neighbor, and don't betray the confidence of another; lest one who hears it put you to shame, and your bad reputation never depart.
