And, when He came near, seeing the city, He wept over it, saying, "If you knew, in this your day??ven you??he things pertaining to peace! but just now were they hid from your eyes! and they will dash you to the ground, and your children within you; and shall not leave in you a stone upon a stone; because you knew not the season of your visitation." And, having entered into the temple, He began to cast out those who sold; saying to them, "It has been written, 'And My house shall be a house of prayer;' but ye made it a den of robbers." And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the high priests and the scribes and the chief men of the people were seeking to destroy Him; and they were not finding anything they could do; for the people were all hanging upon Him, listening.
