And during supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,

Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.

And they led him to Annas first; for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray him to them. And when they heard it they were glad, and promised to give him money. So he sought an opportunity to betray him.

Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, who was numbered of the twelve. So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and officers, how he might betray him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. read more.
So he consented, and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the multitude.

While he was still speaking, a crowd came, and the man who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him; but Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"

But behold the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table. For the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!" Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this.

And immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now the betrayer had given them a signal, saying, "The one I shall kiss is the man; seize him and lead him away under guard." And when he came, he went up to him at once, and said, "Rabbi!" and he kissed him.

Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand." While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "The one I kiss is the man; seize him." read more.
And at once he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him. Jesus said to him, "Friend, why are you here?" Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.

Then after the bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly." But no one at the table knew why he said this to him. Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him, "Buy what we need for the feast"; or, that he should give something to the poor. read more.
Having received the piece of bread, he went out immediately. And it was night.

Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with his disciples. So Judas, having received a detachment of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. Then Jesus, knowing all that was to come upon him, went forward and said to them, "Whom do you seek?" read more.
They answered him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I am he." And Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. When he said to them, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground. Again he asked them, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus answered, "I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go."
