Thematic Bible: Who purifies their soul

Behold what manner of love the Father hath given to us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knows us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we children of God, and never yet was it manifested what we shall be. We know that, if He shall be manifested, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. And every one that has this hope on Him purifies himself, even as He is pure.

knowing that, not with perishable things, with silver or gold, were ye redeemed from your vain course of life handed down from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; foreknown, indeed, from a founding of a world, but manifested in the end of the times for you, read more.
who through Him believe in God, Who raised Him from the dead, and gave Him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God. Having purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned brotherly love, love one another from the heart earnestly; having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God, that lives and abides.
