9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

and because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.

But I have [this] against you: that you have left your first love.

and [may] the Lord [cause] you to increase and to abound in love for one another and for all, just as also we [do] for you,

They quickly forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel.

not lagging in diligence, being enthusiastic in spirit, serving the Lord,

So where [is] your blessing? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have torn out your eyes [and] given [them] to me!

'I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! Thus, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you out of my mouth! Because you are saying, "I am rich, and have become rich, and I have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and pitiable and poor and blind and naked,

And this I pray: that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,
