25 Bible Verses about Bad Company

Do not be deceived! "Bad company corrupts good morals."

Walk with the wise and be wise, but as for the companion of fools, he will suffer harm.

But now I have written to you not to associate with any so-called brother, if he is a sexually immoral person or a greedy person or an idolater or an abusive person or a drunkard or a swindler--with such a person not even to eat.

Leave {the presence of a foolish man}, [for] you will not [come to] know {words of knowledge}.

I do not sit with deceitful people, nor will I go about with hypocrites. I hate [the] crowd of evildoers, and with [the] wicked I will not sit.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the advice of [the] wicked; nor does he stand in [the] way of sinners; nor does he sit in [the] assembly of mockers. Instead, in the law of Yahweh [is] his delight, and on his law he meditates day and night. Not so the wicked. Instead, [they are] like the chaff that [the] wind scatters.

Do not befriend an owner of {anger}, and with a man of wrath you shall not associate; lest you learn his way and become entangled in a snare to yourself.

My child, if sinners entice you, do not consent. If they say, "Come with us! We shall lie in wait for blood; we shall ambush the innocent without cause.

In the path of the wicked do not go; do not walk in the way of those who do evil. Avoid it; do not transgress it; turn away from it and pass by.

A person of violence will entice his neighbor and cause him to walk on a way [that is] not good.

He who keeps instruction [is] a child of understanding, but the companion of gluttons will shame his father.

For you have observed the regulations of Omri and all the works of the house of Ahab. And you have walked in their counsels, so that I am making you a desolation and your inhabitants an object of scorn. So you will bear the scorn of my people.

and because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.

Now I exhort you, brothers, to look out for those who cause dissensions and temptations contrary to the teaching which you learned, and stay away from them.

Your boasting [is] not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole batch of dough?

Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers, for what participation [is there between] righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship [does] light [have] with darkness? And what agreement [does] Christ [have] with Beliar? Or what share [does] a believer [have] with an unbeliever?

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these [things] the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be sharers with them,

And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even expose [them].

But we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, [that] you keep away from every brother who lives irresponsibly and not according to the tradition that they received from us.

Lay hands on no one hastily, and do not participate in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

constant wrangling by people of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who consider godliness to be a means of gain.
