13 Bible Verses about Answering God

He will call upon me and I will answer him; I [will be] with him in trouble; I will rescue and honor him.

You would call, and I myself would answer you; you would long for the work of your hand.

From there I will give her her vineyards, and the Valley of Achor as a doorway of hope. And there she will respond, as [in] the days of her youth, just as [in] the day of her coming out of the land of Egypt.

"O my people, what have I done to you, and how have I wearied you? Answer me!

I will stand at my post, and station myself on [the] rampart. And I will keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what he will answer concerning my complaint.

{How much less} can I myself answer him? [How] can I choose my words with him,

{Therefore} thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, "Look, I [am] going to bring to Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem every disaster that I have spoken against them, because I have spoken to them and they have not listened, and I have called to them and they have not answered." "For [he is] not a mortal like me [that] I can answer him, [that] {we can come to trial together}.

If he wants to contend with him, he cannot answer him one [time] in a thousand.

On the contrary, O man, who are you who answers back to God? Will what is molded say to the one who molded [it], "Why did you make me like this"?
