4 Bible Verses about Attitudes Of Watchfulness

Persevere in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving,

Blessed are those slaves, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching; verily I say unto you that he shall gird himself and make them to sit down to food and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them so, blessed are those slaves.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For those that sleep in the night, and those that are drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet, the hope of saving health.

Be temperate and vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour,
