These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers.

And being let go, they went to their own company and reported all that the princes of the priests and the elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said, Lord, thou art the God, who hast made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, who (in the Holy Spirit) by the mouth of thy servant David (our father) hast said, Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine vain things?read more.
The kings of the earth were present, and the princes were gathered together against the Lord and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together (in this city), to do that which thy hand and thy counsel had determined beforehand must be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings and grant unto thy slaves that with all boldness they may speak thy word, that thou might stretch forth thine hand so that healings and signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy slave Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

And considering this, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.

And when he had thus spoken, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

And when we had accomplished those days, we departed; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, until we were out of the city; and we knelt down on the shore and prayed.

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work unto which I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they released them.

And they prayed and said, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of everyone, show which of these two thou hast chosen, that he may take the lot or inheritance of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas rebelled that he might go to his own place.

Peter therefore was kept in the prison, and the congregation made prayer without unto God for him.

And the multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates rent off their clothes and commanded to beat them. And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely, who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison and made their feet fast in the stocks.read more.
But at midnight as Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them,

Then Peter put them all out and knelt down and prayed and turned to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

In the same quarters were possessions of a principal man of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us and lodged us three days courteously. And it came to pass that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of dysentery, to whom Paul entered in and prayed and laid his hands on him and healed him.

Persevere in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving,

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, constant in prayer,

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching in this with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Pray without ceasing.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men,

But the end of all things is at hand; be ye, therefore, temperate and watch unto prayer.

praying also together for us that God would open unto us the door of the word, to speak the mystery of the Christ, for which I am also in bonds, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in this I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, even as it is with you,

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the congregation ; and let them pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;

If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask God, and he shall give him life that is, unto those that do not sin unto death. There is sin unto death, for which I do not say that you should pray. All unrighteousness is sin, but there is a sin not unto death.

Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be whole. The effectual prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Spirit, that ye help me with prayers to God for me,

ye also helping us with prayer, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonours his head. But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonours her head, for that is even the same as if she were shaven.

Judge in yourselves: is it honest that a woman pray unto God uncovered? Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man lets his hair grow, it is dishonest? But if a woman lets her hair grow, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering.

therefore, brethren, seek out among you seven men of whom you bear witness, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. And we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, asking that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, pleasing him in everything, being fruitful in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God,

cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; illuminating the eyes of your understanding, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saintsread more.
and what is the exceeding greatness of his power in us who believe, by the operation of the power of his strength, which operated in the Christ, raising him from the dead and setting him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come,

that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, that the Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye, being rooted and grounded in charity, may be able to well comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and heightread more.
and to know the charity of the Christ, which passes all knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

And this I pray that your charity may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all perception, that ye may approve the best, that ye may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, being filled with fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers,

Therefore in this manner we pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of his calling and fill each will with goodness and the work of faith with power that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be clarified in you, and ye in him, by the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
